These are my controversial and dramatic opinions about media!
Pikmin 4: 8/10
This game is great for my puzzle and collection oriented mind! I like the idea of being able to collect items from the world as I explore it and the challenges of unlocking new types of Pikmin! The story is cohesive and well defined and the character customization helps with the immersion and fun.
I also like the cave system and the specific challenges it offers in the dungeon style movements and limitations. The only difficulties I have with this game is the idea that it's far too easy for the amount of resources it gives you. You are surrounded by easy to defeat enemies and the items are not particularly difficult to find and this isn't helped by Oatchi. I found myself completing even the difficult sections rather easily.
So while I enjoyed it, the game didn't take me much more than 30 or 40 hours to fully complete and then only about 10 more to 100% all the areas. So, 8/10.
Kung Fu Panda 4: 4/10
I saw this one out of my love for the first two films and my optimism, but the themes and ideas just don't deliver on the masterpieces the first three films are and the plot feels a little contrived. Characters are spouting exposition and lore constantly because of the time gap and shifting setting, and the villan is boring. 4/10 because honestly its a mid movie, but the disruption of the trilogy brings it down for me.
